Why is the sold price being displayed on Estim8 Sold listings?

Last updated May 2026

Why can I see the sold price of a property?

In New Zealand, property sale prices are part of the public record held by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). Estim8 is legally permitted to display this publicly available data.

Why do we display sold prices?

Sold price data is one of the most valuable resources for property buyers, sellers, and investors. Transparency around what properties actually sell for helps everyone make more informed decisions. This data powers our property estimates, suburb profiles, and market insights.

Can the sold price be removed?

Because sold prices are part of the public record, Estim8 is generally not in a position to remove them. In exceptional circumstances, contact our team to discuss your situation.

The sold price shown is incorrect

If the sold price is incorrect, contact us with supporting documentation and we will investigate.
